Message Hi Joshua,

Check for this property:

plugin.ise.antelope.plugin.AntelopePlugin.jars

If it's there and jEdit is not running, delete it. jEdit usually will
complain, though, well before Antelope gets to the "please wait"
message. None of the other jEdit properties will affect the starting of
Antelope.

Which version of jEdit are you using? The plugin loading/reloading
feature in jEdit is fairly new, and Antelope sort of abuses jEdit to get
Ant loaded via the jEdit classloader. Nothing illegal about it, but I'm
pretty sure no one anticipated anyone loading third-party jar files like
Antelope does.

There are a couple of things to check:
Is there an ant.jar in your ~/.jedit/jars directory? If so, remove it.
Is ANT_HOME set correctly? Check Plugins - Plugin Options - Antelope and
make sure that the setting is correct.

I'll add your feature request to the issue tracker. It's similar to, but
somewhat more difficult than, adding a key binding to the default
target, which was a feature added in Antelope 3.1.3 for the plugin version.

Thanks,

Dale
